What is the Leopard Print Waiting List?
Our Waiting List is a preferred buyer list where buyers looking for companion kittens can lock in a low price on future litters for a $100 deposit for each kitten and lock in their selection order as well (i.e. the first to pay the deposit will be offered first pick of the new litters, then the second and so on). The deposit is counted towards the price of the kitten.
How does it work?
When the litter is 10 weeks of age, each person on the Waiting List will sequentiallly have an opportunity to select a kitten from any available litters. At 10 weeks, some of the kittens will be ready, others need 12 weeks.
Why should I pay a deposit?
These kittens are from champion blood lines and they will move fast. Typical companion prices for similar kittens from other catteries will be $800 to $1400. If you will commit to buy a kitten by putting down a $100 deposit, we will lower the price to $525 for males and $475 for females which is significantly cheaper than normal pricing.
Is the deposit refundable?
Deposits for the Waiting List are non-refundable. Because we use our Waiting List to guage demand and plan our litters accordingly, if we allow refunds, we have found that we end up with too many kittens and not enough buyers.
What if I put down a deposit and then can't purchase a kitten at that time?
If you get into a financial bind and can't pay for a kitten right away after making a Waiting List deposit, we simply leave the deposit on account and then you can use it toward a later litter. Even if the price goes up between the time you place your deposit and when decide to buy, you still get the original sale price listed when you made your deposit and what's more, you'll likely be at the top of the list for the later litter and get the best kitten.
What if I don't like any of the kittens available when my turn comes?
If you don't like any of the current kittens, you can wait until we have one you do like! Your deposit remains on your account and you stay at the top of the list for the next litter until we find a kitten you are satisfied with.
How many customers are currently ahead of me on the Waiting List?
As of September 13, 2010, the Wait List is at 1.
Can anyone cut ahead of me on the list?
Yes, if you do not respond within 48 hours of notification for your priority selection, the next person will be allowed to make a selection. Also Bengal breeders will get preferential treatment in kitten selection, but they will have to pay the fair market value and that runs $1000 to $2000 for the same kitten that you would get for $500.
Do you ship?
We ship Continental Airlines to any major airport, in the continental US, that accepts live animal shipments. Shipping costs are normally between $300-$350 depending on airport and includes a health certificate and the pet carrier. Due to stricter regulations, we are no longer able to ship kittens internationally.
